Auto Rifles haven't seen a strong presence in Destiny 2's PvP for a few seasons now, but there are still great Auto Rifles that provide competitive loadouts. Auto Rifles can play many roles in PvP, although they typically excel in close- to mid-range combat. With the right perks, the best Auto Rifles in Destiny 2, namely The Last Breath, SUROS Regime, Gnawing Hunger, Scathelocke, and Chroma Rush , are excellent choices for both PvP and PvE activit  
While you have a battery in hand, your character will be Encumbered for 15 seconds. This is your window for carrying the battery. After 15 seconds pass, your character will drop the battery and become Exhausted for 10 seconds, preventing them from picking up a battery. Scathelocke is another Legendary Kinetic Auto Rifle with an adaptive frame and 600 RPM rate of fire. Scathelocke was also brought back from its sunset state in Season of the Lost with new perks. It has an incredible overall stat package, making it arguably the best Auto Rifle in Destiny 2. It feels very similar to how Gnawing Hunger performs. There are many great perks to choose from for this weapon, and, fortunately, its perks are great for PvP, but ultimately it's a phenomenal PvE weapon that all Guardians should have for Grandmaster Nightfalls in Destiny 2 . As for perks, this is the only 540 RPM Pulse that can roll with Rangefinder , giving this weapon a noticeable range buff. This can be paired with classics like Multikill Clip, Frenzy, or Dragonfly to enhance this weapon's lethality. Jurassic Green can also get High-Caliber Rounds to inflict an absurd amount of flinch against opposing Guardians. Overall, Jurassic Green is a powerful PvP Pulse Rifle that has an effective range that most 540s dream of having. For PvE, this is a solid replacement for Gridskip
