About Me

Sea of Thieves now has its first Pirate Legend, but other players aren't exactly happy about how this high achievement has been reached. Rare's pirate-themed title has been drawing players in with its gameplay and colorful world, and although the game has had its fair share of launch issues nonetheless the allure of earning untold treasures has proven rather tempting for gam
Fans of Rare are excitedly awaiting the anniversary of what might be the studio's most iconic franchise, Banjo-Kazooie . Originally launching on Nintendo 64 in 1998, June 29 will mark the 20th anniversary of the hugely popular 3D platforming game. Fans will be absolutely celebrating, but the question is whether Rare will be too, and what the studio has planned. Players of Rare's newest game, Sea of Thieves , think they might have an idea what's in st
The first Pirate Legend has now been found, in Twitch streamer Prod1gyX . Rather than this being a cause of celebration for Sea of Thieves players, however, this has instead been a scene of major disappointment. The streamer has been widely criticized for the way in which he has reached the rank of Pirate Legend, relying on boosting from other players to get the status rather than making it there of his own accord. Essentially, other players helped out Prod1gyX with voyages, doing the majority of the work but sharing in rewards, leaving some feeling as though the streamer is more Billy Bones than Long John Sil
Sea of Thieves launched in March earlier this year and has exceeded Microsoft's expectations. Rare has since run its first major post-launch event, The Hungering Deep, and just yesterday Rare started the first of what it calls "Bilge Rat Adventures," which are smaller scale events that will fill in the weeks between major content releases. Rare's firing on all cylinders, and the studio seems like it's in its best condition in a decade -- it's the perfect time to throw a celebrat
This has resulted in something of a backlash, causing some serious arguments over on the Sea of Thieves Reddit and even a Twitter hashtag of #NotMyPirateLegend . It's certainly understandable why some are angry about the first Pirate Legend, particularly given the prestige of the status itself and exactly how time consuming it is to reach the rank. However, there's something a little poetic about someone cheating their way to the top spot in a game revolving around pirates - after all, the game is called Sea of Thiev
Most importantly, the update brings a new region to explore: The Devil’s Roar. If you remember sailing along a vast and empty The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker -style ocean in the early days, you’ll be glad for any new area, but this is just on a whole new level. As the official trailer demonstrates, it’s a perilous place, with earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, fireballs and scalding geysers to avoid. If you were looking for an exciting new area to explore, The Devil’s Roar is sure to bring all the excitement you could’ve asked
To be fair, there's no overt evidence that Rare is planning a Banjo-Kazooie event for Sea of Thieves , only circumstantial evidence. Rare could end up doing nothing of the sort, Rare could just release a figurehead to pick up in-strategy game collectibles|https://strategyreviewer.com/ without an event for it, or Rare could do something even crazier. Time will tell, but knowing Rare's love of its history (and fans' love too) don't be surprised to find a certain bear and bird celebrating their 20th anniversary in st
All in all, though, Sea of Thieves players aren't happy about the situation. It comes at a fractious time for the game itself, after a former artist on the title suggested that the devs knew Sea of Thieves was repetitive in nature. With some asking for more from the title, should those disappointed in the Pirate Legend content (and the way that it was reached) make a big enough noise it may cause Rare to give the game some twe
Aside from that, Forsaken Shores also brings a generous helping of new cosmetics and titles to earn, alongside tweaks to make the inventory a little more user-friendly. Is all this enough to tempt players back? That’s up to you to decide. It’s free, though, so that’s definitely a st
As for bugs like inventory items not showing up in the radial menus, that still can happen often enough that you may have to rejoin a game to fix. Missing gold, reputation levels, and achievements however seem to be just delayed - meaning Rare doesn't think you're actually losing any of that. It just may take a while to show up, or will show up next time you get into a g
The main criticism of Sea of Thieves is the sheer lack of depth in content and progression, and this holds true to an extreme when it comes to the game's NPC population. There's really only one enemy type on quests or in Skeleton Forts (the raids of Sea of Thieves ) and these are skeletons. Most voyages and the game's only fort type involves just skeletons but there are different types with their own attributes. When in the water there are sharks and when in a ship there are Krakens, but those are self-explant
