The GMA Network is a Philippine free-to-air radio and television network, and the flagship property of the publicly-traded GMA Media, Inc. The first broadcast was made on the 29th of October in 1961. The network is also referred to as the Kapuso Network, after the shape of its logo. The logo looks like a fish. While the GMA Network has been around for more than 50 years it has only been recently that it was given an entirely new name.  
In 2010 the network launched soaps and shows that were new. The network premiered Te Amo and Tv Patrol Maging Sino Ka Man in the first quarter. Hanggang Kailan and Zorro were also announced. The fourth and fifth quarters of the year, new series premiered, such as The Real World, Pinoy Teleserye Love Is a Two-Way Street, and Survivor Philippines. In the last quarter of 2010 GMA has launched a range of dramas, including the cult 'Misfits' series as well as 'Sex and GMA Network Relationships', and 'The Real World.'  
In the first quarter of 2000, Ang Probinsyano GMA introduced its brand new logo. GMA's new logo features an image of a heart that is a rainbow-colored rainbow and the phrase "One in Heart With The Filipino Family" across the top. The slogan of the network reads "One in Heart With the Filipino Family" and the name is a mix of an Latin bow and a flirty rainbow. The logo uses Century Gothic Bold font, and Tv Patrol also features the Regine Velasquez theme tune. The same day the network announced its decision to retire from the post of president and CEO, and also appointed Felipe Gozon to the position. He also served as chairman. Gilberto Duavit, Jr., assumed the position of chief operating officer.  
GMA changed its logo numerous times during the 1990s. In 1994, the company switched to a rainbow-colored heart-shaped logo. They also launched a new sloganthat reads "One in Heart With the Filipino Family in Any Colors of Life." GMA Network Inc. was the name that was adopted by the corporate name of GMA Network in 2004. It released many more soaps and programs. The premiere of a few new shows took place during the fourth and fifth quarters of the year.  
GMA Network launched a variety of new soaps and shows during the first quarter 2010. In the third quarter, there was also the launch of a new show "Ikaw Sa Puso Ko". It was the only local station to show continuously throughout 2001, when the transmitters had to be adjusted. Menardo Jimenez announced his retirement as the president and CEO of GMA Group. The GMA Network has always had a colorful logo. The logo of GMA features an image of a heart with a rainbow. The GMA slogan "One in Heart with the Filipino Family" is written in Century Gothic Bold font. The slogan was designed to invoke a sense community. The new logo was unveiled with a new series on the same channel. The GMA also introduced new shows for primetime. Marinara, StarStruck Kids and Lovely Day are just a handful of the new series.  
Since 2001 it has been a while since the GMA Network has produced new soaps and television shows. It's been an exciting year for the network in this one. It has released many new series and soaps. It's been an exciting year for the Philippines. In the process, the network has grown to become one of the top Asian television networks. The network's vast content earns huge profits from international and local viewers. There are many upcoming programming in the year 2010.  
GMA launched several new primetime shows over the past few years. Its most popular shows include "Te, Amo, Hanggang Kailan", "Forever in My Heart," as well as "Lovely Day." Other shows that air on the network are reruns of well-known television shows and films. These programs are also available on the website. The GMA Network is an excellent option for local Tv Patrol. GMA Network has released new primetime programs over the past few years. The network premiered Ang Babaeng Hinugot in Tadyang in 2004. It aired "All My Life" in the year 2007. In 2006, the GMA began to broadcast a variety of new shows.
