Sea of Thieves developer Rare has published a full list of the game's 60 achievements (for a total of 1,000 points), but with a special pirate-y twist. Rather than explaining what players have to do to unlock the achievement, each one has been presented as a riddle. This adds a bit of fun to achievement hunting and lines up well with the upcoming co-op pirate game 's riddle-filled que  
Where to go next is the most difficult riddle of The Hungering Deep. The coordinates of where to summon the shark come from everything said and read so far. The "infernal ridge" hint refers to Devil's Ridge (U-24) and "don’t get too close to the Shroud!" refers to the border of the map, leading to the dead red sea. Skeleton Forts are the most challenging PvE scenario currently in Sea of Thieves and not just because there are 10 waves of skeletons to defeat before acquiring the Stronghold Key to open the treasure vault. We noted in our first impressions of Sea of Thieves that the server issues are a problem all too common in online games and one that after all these years shouldn't still happen, but it does. So please be prepared going in that there may be difficulties joining with others in a crew, and that it's possible to lose connection while playing, and with it, your loot that you've yet to redeem at an outpost. This can be infuriating but it's part of the growing pains and reality of this game at the mom  
Commendation achievements also double as Pirate Titles, and are unlocked when certain deeds are done within the game, such as completed a certain number of voyages or earning a particular amount of gold. These achievements range in difficulty from Grade 1 through Grade 5 and upon unlocking the fifth and final grade of Commendation in each set, a matching Pirate Title is awar  
All of the issues that are common and raised online in the forums, Discord, and Sea of Thieves Subreddit are things the developers are seeing and noting as well. Hopefully, this up update address the obvious concerns and quells some of the brewing negativity online. The pirated themed co-op was released this past March to mixed reviews. Critics praised the open-world gameplay but found there was too little content to keep players engaged . In response, the developer started churning out new content. Rare began sending out a stream of weekly patches as well as releasing several free expansion packs in order to keep gameplay interesting. The first three updates, The Hungering Deep , Cursed Sails , and Forsaken Shores unveiled a mixture of permanent and time-limited content. This absence of direction is also found when you first step foot on your ship. Whether you decide to embark on a small Sloop by yourself or a large Galleon with a few friends, each one functions the same way. I do think operating a ship is fairly intuitive and can be easily learned, but some sort of guidance would have helped make that process quicker. If a tutorial were implemented, I would not have questioned every action I was doing, giving me confidence during my first hour of playing. From my own experience, it took me a solid 30 minutes to an hour to examine each part of the ship, how each role works, and what to do when it is dama  
With little time left in 2018, Rare is already preparing for next year, beginning with a new PVP mode called The Arena . There is no release date as of yet, but players should expect it to launch early in 2019. According to Polygon , The Arena is not a Battle Royale mode, although the game mode will allow players to compete with one another quickly.
