Games like Skyrim have found the perfect balance of plot with purpose. Quests don't feel bogged down and include adventure and challenge across the board. Some quests are much higher in difficulty than others, while the main storyline is enriched by what players accomplish before going to the main plot points on the map. By making sure that everything players do affects the story they are immersed in, the exploration process is rewarding. If Hogwarts Legacy is able to integrate the world into it's story, and put value on side quests and a filled-out map, the game could be very successful. A map that has no weight or purpose will not feel worth exploring or useful to the game, so quality content is  
Hogwarts Legacy was announced last summer as an original RPG in the Harry Potter universe. Players will take control of a student at the magical school of Hogwarts decades prior to the arrival of "the boy who lived". The game will open up a lot of unseen angles to this universe, such as expanding on its history while also showcasing iconic locations. The game looks very promising, but more recent developments have caused some concern. The game's lead designer, Troy Leavitt, has been under fire after journalist Liam Robertson discovered that he has a history of spreading controversial Gamergate rhetoric on a personal YouTube chan

Open world games have become a work of art in the gaming community, and games like Skyrim set the benchmark for including a well-balanced plot alongside an expansive world worth adventuring out into. With attention to detail, and a careful combination of exploration and main plot events, Hogwarts Legacy _ could easily join the best of the genre. By bringing a well-loved world like _Harry Potter to life, fans finally have the chance to explore Hogwarts like never before. With luck the world will be filled with everything a gamer could possibly want, and the magic that every fan has dreamed  
Hogwarts is a place full of dangerous creatures, environments, and situations. No parent in their right minds should allow their children to go there, magic or no magic. There’s a giant angry three-headed dog in the cellar ffs! Who allowed that? Anyway, the pinnacle of these life threatening situations is the Triwizard Tournament. Young children are put face-to-face with fire-breathing dragons, then have to rescue their best friends from drowning at the bottom of a lake, and are finally forced to make their way out of a maze filled with deadly traps and a Dark Lord or two. If made well, the Triwizard Tournament would make one hell of a major side-quest, and a good source of Galleons  
Warner Bros. hasn't addressed the issue directly, but it has tried to rectify it in a different way. Bloomberg is reporting that developer Avalanche is making an effort to include trans characters in Hogwarts Legacy by giving freedom in character creation. Players can reportedly choose a male or female voice, regardless of body type, and also choose if they're addressed as a witch or wizard which also determines their dorm. This hasn't been "officially" confirmed by Warner Bros. or Avalanche, as it was reported using anonymous sour  
Hogwarts Legacy is an RPG, and one of the first things you do in an RPG is to choose your character class. Incidentally, one of the first things students do when they arrive at Hogwarts is get told which room they'll be sleeping in for the next seven years by a grumpy old hat. If you remember the books, Harry whispered to the hat that he wanted to join Gryffindor; if the game gave you such a choice, it would ideally set your base stats. Choosing Gryffindor would earn you a high charisma base, Ravenclaw would lean towards intelligence, Slytherin gives you higher stats in potion brewing, and choosing Hufflepuff would get you… I don’t know… carrying capacity? Or whatever Hufflepuff students are good  
Not much is currently known about the development of Hogwarts Legacy , but what fans do know points towards a large under-taking that has the potential to deliver on the Harry Potter video game license in a way few other projects have. Hogwarts Legacy will be set in the late 1800s and will follow a currently nameless student enrolled at Hogwarts, with players able to select their house and attend classes. The game has been described as open world and will at least allow players to explore Hogwarts, Hogsmeade Village, and the Forbidden Forest, while it will also have a morality system implemented in some fashion.
