About Me
Although they aren't prominent inside Night City, they almost own the entire outskirts and could certainly pack a punch if they chose to expand their turf. With their scary outfits and violent tendencies, they certainly don't fly under the radar and many players have had some scary run-ins with this intimidating g
Disjunction tries to balance the odds with upgrades and abilities for each character. These range from stopping time when an ability is used to simply speeding up a character. However, the end result of combat is almost always the same, regardless of what you've unloc
Updated on October 2, 2024, by Jake Fillery: Testifix.Com All melee weapons in Cyberpunk 2077's base game provide players with intense creativity and power in the palm of their hands. Thanks to a bounty of updates including 2.1, Cyberpunk 2077 has 20 iconic melee weapons that can be used for varying effects and iconic modifiers. Whether it's based on visuals or power, Cyberpunk 2077's best melee weapons offer incredibly impacting bonuses, and unique methods of obtaining t
Byakko is another iconic katana, but one that has been collecting dust on Wakako's desk for a reason. It's a cool katana, but not one that demands usage for the best katana builds. The stats are average at best, and the modifier can still be useful, even with the revamp of movement provided to players thanks to 2.0 and bey
[pullquote]The implications of a mega-corporation with its hands in law enforcement alone should arise its own slew of ethical questions. But in the game's world and story, it's more of an afterthought.[/pullqu
What better way to stick it to the disgusting ripperdoc , Fingers, than to wield his cane in battle? V can pick this melee weapon up and swing it around, and whilst it may not be lethal, it sure will leave plenty of bruises. It's a weapon that is often underestimated due to its slow attack speed, but its stellar damage per hit makes it a weapon worthy of a Night City merc, especially when the tip of the weapon deals both Electrical and Chemical damage, adding both Shock and Poison to unsuspecting enem
While many Cyberpunk titles center around this kind of story, Disjunction 's is hardly captivating. It quickly introduces characters and plot devices, then asks players to make decisions based on them without enough time to get familiar. It doesn't seem like that's intentional design either, there's no mad-dash going on in the game to crack its central mystery. If there was, the main cast of characters wouldn't be getting their eight hours between most missions. They certainly wouldn't be spending so much time with erroneous chatter that leads to a slow fade to black before getting to actual story be
The story follows Jim Corbijn, a special agent with the ability to hack into the minds of his AI foes. When Jim is dispatched to District 7 to investigate a shooting, he becomes involved in a government conspiracy called Project MindJack, which further endangers his l
Based on the Heavy Metal comics, the game features four large arenas that serve as battlegrounds for the main characters. Fighters are fused with hulking metallic technology as they fight in dark industrial settings. The game received a paltry 3/10 from Game Informer , a 3.4/10 from GameSpot , and a 4/10 from C
Errata is a rather funny weapon for its purpose, as it wasn't actually in the base game until the release of 2.0, making its tagline " It was worth the wait. " more of a fourth-wall-breaking ode to that f
The company has its hands in nearly every industry imaginable. Weapons manufacturing, banking, as well as financing its own division of Night City's own police department. All of these coupled together are constant obstacles and causes for concern for V, and most of the people of Night City. The implications of a mega-corporation with its hands in law enforcement alone should arise its own slew of ethical questions. But in the game's world and story, it's more of an afterthou
A bright pink katana that used to belong to Evelyn Parker , players can wield the Cocktail Stick in her name to skewer their enemies within Night City. With an average attack speed and decent damage per hit, the Cocktail Stick is a good enough katana, but the Iconic Modifier is best reserved for players who have a flair for stealth, as to see any effect from it, they will need Optical Camo as one of their Cyberware upgrades. However, causing Bleeding is great, as it can stop enemies from dodging and dashing, as well as dealing at least 4% damage to their total health over t
Don't get me wrong, the story isn't bad. It was honestly a fairly enjoyable experience that offered a handful of hours to get lost in. The issue I found was the way it developed and hinted at some heavier ideas and social commentaries before more or less abandoning them. That wouldn't necessarily be an issue had the game's narrative not played with some of these themes and set up these potential plot points. Now not every cyberpunk story is a deep deconstruction of our times, and nor does every story in the genre need to be. The issue more so arises when these ideas are brought to the forefront and then pushed as
