For most players, the two things you want to be doing right now are redeeming Engrams and visiting Ada-1 every day . Engrams have a high chance of unlocking a general armor mod you don't own. Ada-1 is your only source of Combat Style mods from past seasons. Check her stock every day and purchase any Combat Style mods she's selling. Players that own Season of the Chosen, Splicer, and/or Lost should also improve their vendor reputation with each seasonal vendor to unlock Elemental Well mods from the H.E.  
Hive ships will spawn waves of enemies throughout this section, most of which are Acolytes and Knights. Partway through the defense section, a Hive portal will open that will spawn two Wizard majors. They're fairly easy to kill, but these Wizards will give way to two Orgres and, eventually, an Unstoppable Ogre . Particle Deconstruction and an Exotic Fusion/LFR can easily eliminate the Ogre. Clear out the enemies to collapse the Hive portal. Run through the portal frame to find the path forw  
This variant of Ruins of Wrath is somewhat tough if you lack good anti-Champion weapons. Fusion Rifles work great here, allowing you to stun Unstoppables and break a shield type. Some good options include Plug One.1 (Arc), Vex Mythoclast (Solar), and Cartesian Coordinate (Solar). In PvP, Pulse Rifles are favored for their stability, range, recoil control, and damage output. While Rapid-Fire Frame Pulse Rifles deal less damage, they fire faster than their High-Impact Frame counterparts. Additionally, Adaptive Frame Pulse Rifles provide additional stability to that archetype. The best part about many Pulse Rifles, however, is their phenomenal perk pool that allows users to dominate in Destiny 2's

This time, the Taken will be spawning all around the beacon. Defending this beacon solo can be somewhat stressful, so consider using crowd control effects for this part. Multiple waves of Taken Hobgoblins, Acolytes, and Taken Centurions. The Centurions will likely give you the most trouble, so take them down as fast as you can. Like the first beacon, the final wave will spawn an Overload Hobgoblin alongside the rest of the Taken. Kill this Champion as soon as possible, using an Overload weapon to stun the Hobgoblin. Clear out the remaining enemies to finish the defense sect  
The Stars in Shadow is a High-Impact Energy Pulse Rifle that can only be earned from Crucible matches and Engrams. The Stars in Shadow has a massive perk pool that makes acquiring any one specific drop hard, but, luckily, there are many viable drops for this weapon. Since the Stars in Shadow is a High Impact Pulse Rifle , this weapon is going to find its best uses in PvP. However, there are still plenty of perks that make this weapon a great choice for PvE in Destin

For your Kinetic, unless you're using Eriana's Vow, an Auto Rifle is recommended since they can break Barriers this season. Some good options include Monte Carlo , Chroma Rush , Scathelocke , and The Last Brea

The third and final Shattered Realm mission is here. Destiny 2's Ruins of Wrath is arguably the most linear mission out of the Shattered Realm trilogy, consisting mostly of combat sequences separated by rather short jumping sections. You'll need to deal with Unstoppable and Barrier Champions in this mission. There's also a jumping section that takes place in a slow field, so be sure you bring some high Mobility gear before you hop into this mission.
