The moments of awe that the first-person mode demonstrate (like the flying segments) are constantly overshadowed by an obstructive and pointless statement. As the fanmade mods have shown us, first-person GTA is a novelty, a fleeting distraction that you’ll use for five minutes, then realize that it was just better the old way. Re-releasing GTA V barely a year after release is already a questionable move, but using something so disposable and out of place as a selling point is the real issue at hand. And yes, it’s optional. GTA V’s first-person mode is a pointless addition that does more to shamelessly lure in FPS fans than deliver any substantial inclusions to what Grand Theft Auto is about.  
While the appearance of PS4 and Xbox One branded copies ought to be taken with a hefty pinch of salt, the Czech company certainly isn't the first to list the title as being PC compatible. European news outlet Gamereactor recently received word that a Scandinavian store - Elgiganten had begun accepting pre-orders for the port — a rumor later confirmed by one of Elgiganten's own branch managers. Amazon France was also found to be listing a PC copy of the game, though it was later removed, while Amazon Germany has continued to display the product — detailing it as both Vista and Windows 7 compati  
Fortunately, as seen above, Rockstar Games has introduced a brand new trailer for the multiplayer feature that may or may not hold people over until next year. Also, as it turns out, the heists are a four-player co-op mode, with one person as the leader and the other playing simple crew members. The player in the leader role is tasked with recruiting other players, assigning roles, picking appropriate heisting outfits and the like, while the other members just have to show up, do their job correctly, and make it to "each Heist’s epic finaI completely agree with Houser's stance and wish more people in both the games industry and the animated film industry would understand this point. For years now, we have witnessed Hollywood lean on famous voice talent in order to more effectively market expensive animated films - a strategy which has been adopted by the games industry; Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls , which stars Ellen Page of Juno and Inception fame, being one of the most current examples of this.  
Furthermore, don't expect all of the previously detailed new content to eventually come to the older platforms. According to Rockstar, the new content and additional gameplay updates were only possible because of the more powerful hardware. On the upside, any updates made to GTA Online will be for all systems. That is, aside from whatever update included support for 30-player online matcIt baffles me as to why Rockstar would even consider a first-person mode for GTA V. Perhaps it was the success of open-world shooters like Far Cry 3 that inspired them to do this, which is understandable. However, Far Cry 3 is a shooter. It’s built as a shooter and the shooting is a huge part of the game’s appeal. Sure, there’s exploration, but the action is Far Cry’s appeal by far. Grand Theft Auto V, for all its gritty action and violence, is not a shooter. Its action comes from something less primal and more intelligent. If anything, this first-person shooter setup does more to pander to the FPS crowd than to thoughtfully expand on what Grand Theft Auto has always been about.

Expect more details about the new versions of GTAV to come as we get closer to its second release. It's certainly shaping up to be the end-all-be-all version of Rockstar's 2013 hit, regardless of if those who play it are veterans or new players. Yet there are still no heist  
While the odds of a next-gen console release remain relatively slim it's important to note that the move does make sense from a business perspective. Given the time taken to produce an expected PC port, Rockstar could certainly afford to put together a PS4/Xbox One upgrade at the same time. Indeed, the recent success of Crystal Dynamic's Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition demonstrates the viability of such a move — a minimum of fuss for a maximum of pro
