The Grand Theft Auto V panel at NYCC was a gathering of passionate fans and the amazing motion capture actors: Ned Luke who plays Michael, Shawn "Solo" Fonteno who plays Franklin and Steven Ogg who plays Trevor. The upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V won't just include new content for new and returning players to dig into. While that, combined with the improved visuals and bigger multiplayer were probably enough to entice many to make the return trip, Rockstar has implemented an entirely new feature for the upcoming version, which is sure to push people over the edge into "well, I guess I really need to get this again" territ

As some may already know, a big incentive to move to the Xbox One and PS4 versions of GTAV is the fact that players can bring over their GTA 5 vehicles|https://gta5Play.com/ Online characters, progress, and any Jobs they created. That's a one way street, as any progress gained in the new versions, as well as leaderboard changes, won't be seen on the Xbox 360 and Franklin is the youngest of the three protagonists, currently in his mid 20s. He is a young ambitious hustler who works as a repo man for an Armenian luxury car dealership. He crosses paths with Michael when looking for a hustle.With all that ground to cover, you'd expect GTA V to feature plenty of vehicles to take advantage of - and it does. In fact, GTA V will offer more ways to travel than ever before, including BMX bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, dirt bikes, a large selection of cars and trucks, helicopters, planes, ATVs and Jet Skis.The big movie news cannot be ignored: Sony decided it will not go forward with it's plans to release The Interview, a Seth Rogen film about a plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un. Sony was hacked and received threats, while the number of respectable movie chains who would take the film was dwindling. All at once, the internet (save for a few rogue supporters) cried out about free speech, bowing to terrorist demands and all-around support for Rogen and his now-canceled film. The equally troubling news is that no one cares when this happens to a video game.  
Unsurprisingly, development of the new mode was made possible because of the new consoles (and PC) and the power they offer. With development time representing a huge factor, implementing the new mode was much more complex that just taking the pre-existing camera and moving it to the characters' eye-level. And with Rockstar being, well, Rockstar, you either do it right or not at When both of these incidents took place, there was controversy. Debate ensued with two sides each offering up different points and demanding equal validity. But Sony has been met with almost universal admonishment after pulling The Interview. A quick search of The Interview mentions on Twitter reveals a starkly one-sided picture. A tweet by Judd Apatow (long-time associate of Rogen's) calling the move by Sony "disgraceful" was retweeted more than 5 thousand times in 11 hours.The content of these games shouldn't matter. The greater principle at stake here is the idea that people should be free to express their ideas, a value clearly held dearly by movie-goers but not so much by the gaming community. Society has spoken about movies: we want any film, regardless of how controversial the subject matter, to be available to the public in an exercise of our right to free speech and ideal of free expression. The question remains when, if ever, will society feel the same way about video games?Moving on to GTA V's setting - it's big. Actually, big is a completely insufficient word to describe Rockstar's new and improved Los Santos. Art Director, Aaron Garbut, explains that "When you include interior and exterior spaces together, Los Santos is bigger than the worlds of Red Dead Redemption , San Andreas and GTA IV combined, with room to spare." That statement boggles the mind. However impressive that fact may be, we can only hope that Rockstar isn't merely aiming for quantity, with GTA V .
